Description
10% off all Batman Comics and Graphic Novels Format: 50 pages Soft Cover Full color Written: Frank Miller Artist: Todd McFarlane Colorist: Steve Oliff Letterer: Tom Orzechowski Published: 2004 This comic could have been better! Spawn is a being returned from Hell with power far beyond many of the mutants and superhumans in the DC and Marvel Universe and yet he actually has a problem defeating Batman who a mortal hero with no special powers. Unfortunately both Batman and Spawn are over-simplified versions of themselves. Spawn relies on physical fighting instead of his supernatural powers. Batman continues to absorb the power of Hell without ever sustaining any real damage. They both call each other names taunting telling each other 'they are finished' and 'idiot'. This was not one of Frank Miller's finest works. At the same time Todd McFarlane who is known to be one of the best in the industry just didn't pull it off. Believe you-me both I love his work but the Batman he created here just doesn't work. So the big question here is if we are selling this stuff why are we ragging on it Well... because I'd be lying if I talked about all the great points of the book. If you're into collecting you have to have the book. If not... then get another one.
