Description
Rendered in a very sturdy subtly shiny and very infection-free stainless steel our Captain America Shield Stainless Steel Stud Earrings are scaled down reproductions of Captain America's handy-dandy shield-thing! Measuring .25' in diameter these stainless steel Captain America earrings are perfect little accents for earlobes demanding the appropriate patriotically-inclined ear-wear. Seeing as you're very patriotic and a HUGE fan of Captain America -- HYDRA sympathizer or not -- these Captain America earrings are the perfect selfless self-gift! And have I mentioned they're stainless steel I did Well it's important to mention this. Why Glad you asked: 316 Stainless Steel is the preferred steel where bio-compatibility is required (such as body implants and piercings). The 'L' means that the carbon content of the alloy is below 0.03% which reduces the sensitization effect. 316 steel has .08 Max carbon content while 316L has a .03 Max carbon content. Stainless steel does not contain corrode or rust as easily as ordinary steel. Though it will not oxidize or turn black it is still not 'stain-proof.'
