Description
Storm Shadow's real name is Thomas S. Arashikage (Arashi = 'Storm' and kage = 'shadow' in Japanese). When out of his uniform Storm Shadow is shown to be Japanese with black hair and dark eyes though Thomas doesn't seem to be much of a Japanese name if you asked me. Storm Shadow is best known as the Cobra Commander's ninja bodyguard and assassin at times he is the only member of the team to have change sides several times. He usually wears a white uniform and mask and has a passion for Oreo cookies just like the Martian Manhunter but Storm prefers the Double Stuff versions. When the G.I. Joe team was rebuilt in G.I. Joe: America's Elite Storm Shadow was added to the team due to his background. His expertise as a covert ops specialist and ninja have proven useful. However what has proven more important to the team is the knowledge he gained as Cobra Commander's bodyguard. While Snake-Eyes and Stalker have accepted him as a member fellow team member Shipwreck is the most vocal about his suspicions considering the ninja's constantly changing loyalties. Seriously this just wouldn't work in modern day military ops working with baddy unless you have momentarily aligned yourself to defeat a superior foe like Aliens or Predators but this just isn't the case. Storm Shadow is the first to learn of the Baroness being alive and being held in the basement of The Rock G.I. Joe's new command center. .. though I'm not going to go into detail as to 'whyyyy' she's chained and shackled in the dark prison with nothing but rags for clothes.
