Format: Soft cover Black & White Pages: 64 Writer: STAN LEE Cover: John Romita Sr. Penciller: John Romita Sr. Jim Mooney Larry Lieber Bill Everett Letterer: --- Colorist: --- Editor: --- Published: 2002 Originally published 1968 Collecting Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine #1 It was a time of expansion. Marvel Comics enjoying unparalleled success with its super-heroes was finally free to take some chances. Stan 'The Man' Lee took that freedom to heart and experimented with many wild and wooly concepts. One was the very magazine you now hold in your hands. None of the big publishers had dared to try something so bold though a market for this new format clearly existed. And who better to spotlight that then the Spider-Man Teaming with artist legend Johnny Romita Sr. and a host of other artists Stan crafted an epic-length story pitting Spidey against an all-new threat. In addition readers enjoyed a brand new retelling of Spider-man's origin explanding on the original version. Who could ask for more for their 35 cents back then My isn't inflation lovely And now for the first time since 1968 Marvel Comics proudly re-presents this ground-breaking magazine in its entirety. Enjoy!
