Description
This is the Ultimates 2 #12 poster and measures 24' x 36'. The Ultimates a government-sponsored team of superheroes in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. The team is a re-imagining of the Marvel Universe superhero team the Avengers. The Ultimates and The Ultimates 2 written by Mark Millar and drawn by Bryan Hitch. The series began in January 2002. Each thirteen-issue miniseries is regarded as a 'season' of the same title. The tone of the story is widely considered darker more cynical and more cinematic than most traditional comic books. 'It's freaking excellent' says the CEO of Super Hero Stuff.Com. 'Jesus there's spousal abuse between Giant Man and his wife The Wasp you have Captain America sleeping with The Wasp did I mention she's married Oh it's great there's the fight between Cap and Giant Man in Giant form... and he's nekid! And the scene where Cap kicks the Hulk in the gnads!! Oh My God! You have to buy this series! A prominent theme is the scope and legitimacy of state power with superheroes - or 'persons of mass destruction' as they are described in the series - acting as metaphors for the immense military resources of a modern superpower. In this respect it resembles The Authority a comic book series that both Hitch and Millar have each worked on though at different times.
